Title I Report
Table The Title I Report table lists the number and the percentage of Reading First schools within each state receiving school-wide and targeted assistance Title I funds. Title I funds are awarded by the U.S. Department of Education to schools serving low-income students. More information on the types of Title I funding may be found in the glossary.
Clicking on the plus sign (+) to the left of the state/territory name expands the table to display district-level Title I information. Profile Reports containing more detailed and comprehensive information on each state and district may be obtained by clicking on the underlined entity name.
Map The Title I Report map displays both the total number of Title I schools and the number of school-wide and targeted assistance Title I schools in each state. Use the selection tool to the right of the map to change the type of Title I funding displayed on the map.
Note: The map displays information for the 50 states only. Data are not included for Reading First schools in American Samoa, the Bureau of Indian Education, the District of Columbia, and the Virgin Islands.
