Locale Report
Table The Locale Report table provides the number and the percentage within each state/territory of funded Reading First schools in each type of geographic location. Locales range from “large city” to “rural;” detailed definitions may be found in the glossary.
Clicking on the plus sign (+) to the left of the state/territory name expands the table to display district-level locale information. Profile Reports containing more detailed and comprehensive information on each state and district may be obtained by clicking on the underlined entity name.
Map The Locale Report map shows the distribution of schools according to geographic locale in the 50 states. Use the selection tool to the right of the map to change the locale information displayed on the map.
Note: The map displays information for the 50 states only. Data are not included for Reading First schools in American Samoa, the Bureau of Indian Education, the District of Columbia, and the Virgin Islands.
